Under the direction of Head Coach John Cohen, MSU Baseball has stormed back to national prominence and fans are now celebrating by wearing 2013 Mississippi State CWS T-Shirts and Apparel!

6/21 Update: MSU defeated Oregon State to clinch the CWS #1 bracket and advance to the College World Series finals. MSU is 3-0 in 2013 CWS play and advances to the championship series for the first time in the program's history. The maroon faithful hope that the momentum will continue and that fans will soon be wearing Mississippi State College World Series Champions T-shirts.

MSU College World Series History: The Diamond Dogs made their 1st trip to Omaha for the 1971 CWS. Since then the Bulldogs have made appearances in 1979, 1981, 1985, 1990, 1997, 1998 and 2007. Head Coach Paul Gregory led The Dog's first CWS appearance while coaching legend Ron Polk directed 5 of MSU's College World Series seasons. Former coach Pat McMahon Led MSU to Omaha in 1998.

MSU's Road to Omaha: After winning the Starkville NCAA Baeball 1st Round Regional, MSU headed into their Super Regional at Virginia with a 46-18 record. MSU swept UVA and is now wearing College World Series T-Shirts and Apparel.

MSU's best baseball team ever? State's 3 wins in the 2013 CWS sets a new standard for the most wins ever achieved by a Bulldogs team in College World Series action. The only other Diamond Dogs team to have that success was the 1985 team that included such stars as Jeff Brantley, Bobby Thigpen, Will Clark and Rafael Palmeiro.

MSU Star Hunter Renfroe was the primary offensive catalyst for John Cohen's squad. Through the NCAA tournament's 1st round, Renfroe led the team in batting average .352, Home Runs (15) & RBI's (58). MSU's save artist Jonathan Holder (1.17 era and 17 saves) was named a top 5 finalist for the College Baseball Stopper of the Year.
